Perfect for mixing, blending, and intensifying colored pencil artwork, the Caran d'Ache Blender Bright Pencils add a brilliance and gloss to colored pencil artwork without altering the original shades.
A colorless oil-wax medium for blending, dry mixing, and intensifying colors, these pencils combine the properties of a blender (mixing and unifying) and a burnisher (consolidating and adding a gloss finish). It can also can be used to make some areas of a drawing water-resistant, even one created with watersoluble pencils — and it increases lightfastness.
The set includes a Full Blender and a wood-encased Blender Pencil. The Full Blender is the same oil-wax medium but without a wood casing which allows for greater flexibility. Use it on its side to cover large areas, on an edge for long thing lines, or sharpened like a traditional pencil for precision and detail. Either Blender Pencil will work on a range of supports, including paper, cardboard, fabric, wood, pottery, and stone. Blenders measures 7" long.
